"Can you do theater when you are depressed? What can you do when you are depressed? When you don't even have the strength to get out of bed. When every thought is dark and you can't imagine yourself in the future."

On stage, three actresses and one actor, on an empty stage, prepare to put on their latest show, and in doing so, they question their condition as artists, as workers, but also as men and women living in the present, with its difficulties and contradictions. It is the Barbe à Papa Teatro company staging itself.
The investigation starts from a question that generates all the others: "Can you do theatre when you are depressed?" And so: What can you do when you are depressed?

The reaction – more than the answer – to these questions is a show that tells four stories of a generational, but also universal, condition; a show that travels through the shadowy areas of a soul torn and worn out by years of economic, social, political, and cultural crisis.
The staging is a continuous metatheatrical game that confuses roles and characters and encourages the audience to participate actively, going even beyond the enjoyment of the show itself. Resistance is responsibility, and it also involves spectators.
