“In the center of Babel there is a fountain with an inscription: when a man is tired of Babel, he is tired of life, because in Babel there is everything that life can offer.”

The Babel Choir tells the story of five young Italians who leave their home countries to move to Babel, the city that in our imagination represents all the great European capitals. Five stories of as many migrants who weave a single narrative.
It is a melancholic and nostalgic song, but also funny and irreverent. It is the story of those who live in Babel. It is the story of those who leave one home to look for another. It is the story of those who leave a family to form a new one, bound by ties of friendship and affection.

Each of these migrants questions their own life, the choices they have made and those they have postponed, their priorities and compromises. And in this migration of bodies and souls, stories intertwine and become confused, like languages, loves, dramas, joys, melancholy, the desire to learn, the longing to return. Some stay, others return, still others continue to wander in search of a new land to call home.
